Mayor Coble to Speak at Greater Columbia Community Relations Council 46th Annual Luncheon
The Greater Columbia Community Relations Council (CRC) will hold its 46th Annual Luncheon on Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 12:30p.m. to 2:00p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, 1101 Lincoln Street. Mayor Bob Coble will be the keynote speaker at the luncheon. Tickets for this event are available to the public at the cost of $35 per person and must be purchased in advance by contacting the CRC office at 803.733.1130.

The City of Columbia is now accepting grant applications for the 2010-2011 year for Hospitality Tax, Accommodations Tax, and Community Promotions Funding.

Job Title: SENIOR STAFF ASSISTANT (DWC)
Pay: $35,084/Annual
Nature of Work
The purpose of this position is to provide professional and highly responsible administrative assistance to the department, division and Drew Wellness Center staff ensuring effective and efficient office operations, and to perform related duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in exercise physiology, business administration, physical education, exercise science, health promotion or closely related field with eight (8) years of responsible work experience in exercise science, health fitness, athletic training, administrative services in the health fitness field; or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
 
Special Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid SC Class “D” Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record. Must have knowledge of personal computer equipment with skill in the use of Microsoft Office preferred, utilizing Outlook, word processing and spreadsheet software programs. Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and must be able to express ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. May be required to work additional hours as needed.
