Drew Wellness Center Recognizes National Heart Month with "Wellness Wednesday for Women"
On Wednesday, February 29 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., the Charles R. Drew Wellness Center will partner with KISS 103.1 to host "Wellness Wednesday for Women" in honor of National Heart Month. This event is FREE to the public and will feature a Zumba fitness class from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., a heart health treat (snack), heart health information and screenings, and giveaways. KISS will broadcast live from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call the Charles R. Drew Wellness Center at 803.545.3200.

Fleet Services

Fleet Services Division manages maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment owned by the City of Columbia and Richland County Fire.

The goal of Fleet Services is to insure the availability and safety of vehicles and equipment so that using Departments and Divisions can better serve the citizens of the Columbia and surrounding areas.

Example of Fleet Services activities include but are not limited to:

Maintain City of Columbia owned vehicles and equipment.

Maintain Richland County fire equipment.

Maintain all related records.

Purchase of repair parts and supplies.

Managing vehicle/equipment acquisition, preparation, and disposal.

Monitor vehicle accidents, and records.

Provide vehicle and equipment specifications.

Maintain underground storage tanks.

Maintain fueling sites.

Support Services

Support Services is responsible for maintaining City facilities, grounds, mail service and associated maintenance and service contracts.

The goal of Support Services is to provide a safe working environment with in all City facilities so that Departments and Divisions may better serve the Citizens of Columbia.

Example of Support Services activities include but are not limited to:

Maintain City facilities.

Internal and Contract mail Service.

Maintain contracts (elevator, custodial, pest control, landscaping, copiers, ect.)

Maintain inner-city bus shelters and bus stop benches.

Assist Police Department with their Crime prevention Program and Summer HVAC /Fan Program.
