On May 31, the City of Columbia will launch a new, easy-to-use online employment application solution. With the new solution you will be able to apply for positions on-line, get notices when a position you are interested comes available and manage your career profile.
In order to insure a smooth transition to this new system, the City will no longer be accepting paper applications starting on May 6 and will begin allowing candidates to apply on-line on May 31. While this new solution will certainly improve the applicant experience, it will require action on your part. You must create a candidate profile in the new City of Columbia Career Portal.
Starting on May 31, applicants will simply go to the city’s home page and click on the “Employment” link to create a profile and manage your career opportunities with the City. "We are extremely excited about this new system and can’t wait for this new solution launch in May," stated Human Resources Director Pamela Benjamin.
