ASSISTANT WASTEWATER PLANT SUPERINTENDENT (METRO WASTEWATER PLANT)
The purpose of this position is to assist in planning and supervising the efficient administration, operation and maintenance of the City’s 60MGD wastewater treatment facility and lift stations, ensuring compliance with strict water quality standards; and to perform other technical, administrative and supervisory work as required. This individual assumes the duties of the Wastewater Plant Superintendent in his/her absence and works closely with the Wastewater Plant Maintenance Coordinator.

CITY PROSECUTOR

FIREFIGHTER (PROBATIONARY)
This is skilled fire fighting work in combating, extinguishing and preventing fires to protect life and property. Incumbents are required to learn and participate in the operation of apparatus and performance of hazardous tasks under emergency conditions which may require strenuous exertion under such conditions as fire, heat, smoke and cramped surrounds. Although fire fighting and emergency rescue work are the most responsible and difficult areas of activity, a major portion of time is spent performing drills and studying methods, techniques and organization, and in routine duties in the care and maintenance of fire department property and equipment. Work also involves routine custodial maintenance of fire department equipment, apparatus, buildings and quarters.

WASTEWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM FOREMAN (WASTEWATER MAINTENANCE)
The purpose of this position is to lead, guide, instruct, mentor, and perform in the maintenance of the wastewater collection system by cleaning, inspecting, installing, repairing, and replacing pipes and appurtenances associated with standard operational and maintenance practices of a wastewater collection system. Incumbent will be responsible for operating and transporting heavy equipment effectively and safely, to include backhoes, track-hoes, skid-steer loaders, trenchers, CCTV cameras, I & I investigations, mechanical cleaning equipment, high pressure cleaning equipment, etc., in the repair, rehabilitation or installation of sewer lines, manholes, vortexes or other appurtenances pertaining to the wastewater collection system and ensuring all work reporting has been done, followed up on, and completed in accordance with the Wastewater Maintenance Division policies and procedures.

The purpose of this position is to maintain the wastewater collection system by cleaning, inspecting, installing, repairing, and replacing pipes and appurtenances associated with standard operational and maintenance practices of a wastewater collection system. WASTEWATER COMPLIANCE TECHNICIAN (METRO WASTEWATER PLANT)
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of complex duties relative to the administration of Industrial Pretreatment (IPP) and Fats Oils and Grease (FOG) Programs; and performs related professional, and administrative work as required to accomplish departmental goals.
WASTEWATER ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN (METRO WASTEWATER PLANT)
The purpose of this position is to perform technical services in conjunction with the maintenance, operation, inspection, and testing of a variety of electrical and control systems equipment. The EIT shall be knowledgeable of electrical and instrumentation equipment used in wastewater process control systems, and to perform related work as required.
WASTEWATER PLANNER/SCHEDULER (METRO WASTEWATER PLANT)
The purpose of this position is to plan, coordinate, and schedule maintenance activities at the Metro Wastewater Treatment Plant (MWWTP) and wastewater lift stations. The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for ensuring all work orders are properly assigned to appropriate staff taking into consideration available staff skill sets/expertise/training, and equipment/material availability. This position works closely with the WWTP Maintenance Supervisor, Lift Station Supervisor, and the City’s Information Technology (IT) Department while reporting directly to the Assistant Wastewater Plant Maintenance Superintendent.
WASTEWATER PLANT MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
The purpose of this position is to perform semi-skilled work to assist technicians in the inspection, maintenance and repair of the City wastewater treatment plant and related equipment, and to perform related work as required.
WASTEWATER PLANT MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR
The purpose of this position is to plan and manage the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of the City’s 60MGD wastewater treatment plant and facilities and its associated sanitary sewer lift stations, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations; supervises and schedules subordinate supervisory and technical staff and oversees customer service function; utilizes divisional Computerized Maintenance Management System and Asset Management System; prepares and administers the maintenance budget for the wastewater treatment plant and facilities and its associated sanitary sewer lift stations.

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and responsibility for monitoring, inspection, maintenance, and repair of the City’s wastewater plant process instrumentation, controls, field instruments and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system; and to perform other skilled and semi-skilled work as required.

The purpose of this position is to inspect and test backflow devices to ensure the City’s water customers are in compliance with related regulations, and to perform other technical work as required.
